Live at the Fox Boulder:
The Lonesome Days
Local Bluegrass legends The Lonesome Days took the stage as well as phones and laptops around the country when we live streamed this epic evening of folk and bluegrass over Facebook Live. Someone even had a baby during this broadcast, something to think about.

Nocturne Jazz Club
Club owner Scott Mattsen came to me just after the shutdown started with a novel idea. His restaurant was shuttered to diners but this world class jazz venue might be able to keep local musicians employed with a facebook livestream and direct donations.
The venue was already wired with superb audio so my focus was on finding the right cameras to create a cinematic experience in this low light club scene and configuring the mixer and livestream workflow.
With all the technology in place I was able to train a couple members of the restaurant staff to the point at which they can and do still regularly stream to their Facebook page.
2018 National Level Exercise
Governments routinely train for emergencies and disasters. Every 2 years many state and local governments do a coordinated exercise with the federal government to see how they would perform in the event of a major emergency. As the Senior Video Producer at Nusura I was tasked with streaming live news updates for their rapidly unfolding scenario to participants around the country from our studio in Denver.
I implemented an NDI workflow with a Newtek Tricaster that also included live captioning, live skype call-ins, and 2 anchor studios on site with teleprompter feeds. Once I developed the workflow I trained and managed a small crew for the duration of this 2 week long exercise.
Reviews we're overwhelmingly positive and we even received praise for our "Technical Defficulties" screensaver when we had a minor audio malfunction.
